I have sold over 45 Blackwell DT guitars since 2007…this guitar is from the era where Blackwell had access to very old salvaged cedar tops from naturally fallen trees in Vancouver Island !!!
These dark brown cedar tops offer a very dark/woody tone with lots of depth, presence and beautiful singing trebles, the volume might not be as loud as what he does today, but the tone of the guitar is much more natural sounding like a great traditional guitar !!!
It also features the original rosette that I liked and matching bloodwood bindings !!
A great find…in very good condition !!
