European Spruce & Madagascar Rosewood
Direct from Valencia, Spain, the new Amalio Burguet Model Lattice represents an exciting evolution of the traditional Spanish concert guitar, combining Amalio Burguet’s deeply rooted craftsmanship with a modern lattice-braced soundboard designed for exceptional responsiveness, projection, and dynamic expression.
The Lattice is built around a carefully selected European spruce soundboard and Madagascar rosewood body, creating a sophisticated tonal foundation that balances clarity, power, warmth, and harmonic richness. The lattice construction allows the soundboard to respond efficiently to the player, offering an impressive combination of projection, sustain, articulation, and dynamic range while retaining the musical warmth and character associated with a fine Spanish guitar.
The use of Madagascar rosewood throughout the body and bridge, together with the elegant Schaller GrandTune tuning machines fitted with snakewood knobs, gives this instrument an especially refined visual and musical character.
As with the rest of the Burguet range, the Model Lattice is entirely handmade in the Catarroja workshop near Valencia, where traditional Spanish guitar making is combined with carefully considered modern techniques. Amalio Burguet places great importance on the selection and preparation of materials, using high-quality solid tonewoods that have been naturally seasoned for a minimum of seven years.
The result is an instrument with the voice and soul of a Spanish guitar, combined with the response and projection demanded by today’s serious concert player.
For musicians looking for a handmade Spanish instrument with additional power, clarity, sustain, and dynamic capability, the Model Lattice is a particularly exciting addition to the Burguet collection.
A beautiful, sophisticated Spanish concert guitar — and absolutely a must try!

The Amalio Burguet Tradition
Amalio Burguet was born in Catarroja, near Valencia, in 1951, and began developing his passion for guitar making from an early age. In 1966, while working in various workshops, he built his first guitar and began a journey that would eventually lead him toward the highly individual approach to handmade guitar making for which his instruments are known today.
Although his early experience provided him with extensive knowledge of workshop production, Amalio was particularly fascinated by the individuality and character of guitars created entirely by hand. He continued his musical education and explored the more artisanal side of the craft, studying the treatment of wood, the properties of different materials, and the construction techniques that influence the voice and response of a finished instrument.
In 1984, he opened his own workshop in Catarroja, where he was able to bring together everything he had learned throughout his career. From this workshop, Amalio developed guitars that combine the traditions of Spanish lutherie with carefully considered innovations, always with the goal of achieving the highest possible level of musical quality.
For more than five decades, Amalio Burguet has remained dedicated to the development of the Spanish guitar, continually searching for ways to refine his instruments while preserving the essential character of the tradition.
His guitars are the result of a lifetime devoted to wood, craftsmanship, music, and the pursuit of the ideal Spanish guitar.
