Some words direct from a satisfied client W.D.J “Great Britain”
I own a original 1972 Friederich N-329, also a double sided model…after receiving Valentim’s hommage and going back & forth between the two, I just can not believe how similar they are in tone & volume, it is simply incredible !!! I have also played the Steve Eden and Giovanni Tacchi Hommage copies, but the Valentim is truly on another level and much much closer to the real deal…This guitar has blown my away… !!!!
“Hommage a Daniel Friederich”

Valentim Carlos Gomes, a talented luthier based in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, was born in 1965. His journey into luthiery began in 1999 with the crafting of popular guitars. By 2005, he turned his focus to classical concert guitars, immersing himself in the study of their sound and intricacies.
In 2014, Valentim embarked on a new challenge: crafting a model inspired by the renowned French luthier Daniel Friederich. This endeavor involved extensive research, including reading about Friederich’s work, studying interviews that revealed the master’s philosophies and techniques, and even acquiring internal videos and blueprints of Friederich’s iconic designs.
Since then, Valentim has created around 80 “Tribute to Daniel Friederich” guitars. While these models are faithful to the essence of Friederich’s designs, they stand out for their vibrant basses, exceptional dynamic range, and clear, characteristic high notes, reminiscent of the legendary Friederich sound.
Valentim’s work represents a deep respect for the traditions of fine guitar making, paired with his own dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.
*** Daniel Friederich was a true master who forever transformed the modern classical guitar. Over the course of six decades, the development of his craft set new standards for the traditional concert guitar and his status as a guitar builder has reached legendary proportions. ***
