Casimiro Lozano has spent his long life handcrafting his guitars.
By 1969, at the young age of 15, he began working in the shop of Vicente Carillo which was then being run by his widow. He worked with several guitar builders in the shop during that time and eventually became foreman of the entire shop. Finally, in 1992 he opened his own shop where he continues working from today along with his son Victor…
His insatiable obsession with improving his work every day, and his drive for perfection have led him to a well-deserved reputation among the most illustrious luthiers.
His great capacity for observation and learning, combined with a continuous desire for improvement, quickly led him to develop high-quality, exquisitely finished guitars.
Taking the Fleta guitar as an initial reference and evolving it with his own construction system, arising from experimentation, from the complete realization of all the guitar construction processes as well as from the comments of great guitarists, has allowed him to achieve that his guitars display a power and a clear, deep and enveloping sound, which have made them highly appreciated by musicians from all over the world such as: Söllscher, Fernando Espí, Pedro Jesús Gómez, Takeshi Tezuka, Edgar Petejo, Wim Brioen, Hans Palier, Reza Solimani, Carsten Grondahl, Carlos Cunha, Miguel Carvalhinho, Ricardo Barceló…
For some years now his son Victor has been working meticulously alongside his father, building his own guitars under his tutelage, following his same construction methods and showing an interest and concern in his works comparable to those of his father.
Casimiro Lozano has become a leading figure in Spain in the construction of double-top guitars, thanks to his tenacity, patience, and the high standards he pursues in all his work.
Casimiro Lozano guitars are today synonymous with the finest Spanish craftsmanship, the fruit of a long history in which continuous improvement in all guitar-making processes has been, is, and will continue to be a constant.
