Kolya Panhuyzen was born in Berlin in 1941.
He built his first classical guitar in 1967 in the workshop of his uncle Edgar Mönch.
In 1974 he set up his own workshop in Toronto, and in 1992 opened a second one in Germany.
His guitars have found worldwide acceptance and are praised for their sonority, balance and easy playability.
Guitarist such as Laura Young, Carlo Domeniconi, Rafaella Smith, Matt Palmer & many more play on his instruments.
