Amalio Burguet — Guitarrero Desde 1966
Amalio Burguet was born in Catarroja, a small town near Valencia, Spain, in 1951. His journey as a guitar maker began at a remarkably young age. In 1966, he built his first guitar and began developing his skills through work in various workshops, gaining extensive experience in guitar construction and production.
Although he became highly experienced in series production, Amalio was increasingly drawn to the artistry of completely handmade instruments. He continued his musical education and studied more deeply the traditional and artisanal aspects of guitar making, particularly the treatment of tonewoods and the many subtleties involved in constructing a fine Spanish guitar.
In 1984, he fulfilled his ambition of establishing his own workshop in Catarroja. It was here that he was able to combine everything he had learned throughout his career with his passion for traditional craftsmanship, creating handmade guitars that offered both exceptional quality and accessibility to a wide range of players, from students to professionals.
Today, Amalio Burguet remains the heart and soul of this family workshop. With more than five decades devoted to the Spanish guitar, his philosophy continues to be one of constant refinement — always searching for new ways to improve the instrument while respecting the traditions that define the Spanish guitar.
The result is a guitar that reflects a lifetime of dedication to the craft: carefully selected materials, thoughtful construction, refined workmanship and, above all, a deep commitment to musicality.
