The Otto Vowinkel Model 2A was developed in collaboration with Antonio Picado of Barcelona, Spain, bringing together the experience and traditions of Spanish guitar making with Otto Vowinkel’s approach to building refined and accessible classical instruments.
The combination of German spruce and Indian rosewood gives the 2A a versatile tonal palette, with the spruce providing clarity and definition while the rosewood contributes richness and depth. Its slightly smaller body is especially well suited to players who appreciate a more comfortable instrument while still wanting strong projection and a satisfying concert-style response.
The Model 2A can also be ordered with a 640 mm scale length, providing an excellent option for players who prefer a slightly shorter scale.
