Woodside’s Unique Pivoting-Gripper System

At first glance, the cradle gripping system may appear to hold the guitar with parallel grippers. In reality, however, every manufactured object—including guitars and guitar supports—has small variations in dimensions.

Woodside’s advanced pivoting-gripper system allows the grippers to “float,” automatically adjusting to these variations. This provides superior grip with minimal pressure while ensuring secure contact with the instrument. The system also accommodates elevated fingerboard guitars and instruments where the top and back are not perfectly parallel.

Woodside’s Ball & Socket Cradle Mount

Set it and Forget it

Another exclusive innovation from Woodside is the ball-and-socket cradle mount, located between the cradle and the support pillar. This mechanism allows precise and highly versatile positioning.

With up to 13° of adjustment in any direction, the guitar can be positioned in countless ergonomic configurations. Once the player finds the ideal position, simply lock the retaining cup and the setting will remain perfectly fixed for the next session—even if the support is removed from the guitar.
