Direct from Valencia, Spain

The new Amalio Burguet “Model Lattice” brings together the warmth and unmistakable character of a traditional Spanish guitar with a modern approach to soundboard construction.

Handcrafted in Amalio Burguet’s workshop in Catarroja, near Valencia, this beautifully made instrument offers the rich, lush Spanish voice that Burguet guitars are known for, combined with the enhanced responsiveness and powerful projection that make a lattice-style instrument so compelling.

The result is a guitar with an inviting musical personality — warm, colourful and expressive, yet remarkably responsive under the fingers. It is equally appealing to players who love the traditional Spanish sound and to those looking for a little more immediacy, projection and versatility from their instrument.

As with all Amalio Burguet guitars, exceptional attention is given to the selection and preparation of the materials. The solid woods are naturally seasoned for a minimum of seven years before being used, while premium glues and carefully selected finishing materials are employed throughout the construction.

A wonderful new addition to the Burguet collection and an especially interesting choice for the guitarist looking for traditional Spanish soul with a contemporary touch.

A Must Try!

Amalio Burguet — Guitarrero Desde 1966

Amalio Burguet was born in Catarroja, a small town near Valencia, Spain, in 1951. His journey as a guitar maker began at a very young age. In 1966, he built his first guitar and continued developing his craft through work in several workshops, where he gained extensive experience in guitar construction and production.

Over time, however, Amalio became increasingly fascinated by the artistry of guitars made entirely by hand. He continued his musical education and began exploring the most traditional and artisanal aspects of guitar making in greater depth, including the treatment of tonewoods and the many processes involved in constructing a fine instrument.

In 1984, he realized his dream of establishing his own workshop in Catarroja. There, he was able to bring together everything he had learned throughout his career with his passion for traditional craftsmanship, developing innovative, high-quality handmade guitars while maintaining an approach that allowed his instruments to remain accessible to both students and professional musicians.

Amalio Burguet is the heart and soul of this small family workshop, where a lifetime of experience continues to shape every instrument. For more than five decades, he has dedicated himself to the Spanish guitar and remains tirelessly committed to finding new ways to create the finest possible instruments.

His work represents a lifetime devoted to the craft of guitar making — combining tradition, innovation, carefully selected materials and an unwavering passion for the Spanish guitar.
