This new model is the latest innovation from Armin Hanika’s workshop. It features all the elements of a modern concert double top guitar, an elevated fingerboard to improve the access to higher ranges, an extra sound port on the side for better sound control, a light lattice bracing for a very reactive and balanced tone, and a nice wax finish for an easy care.
With its double top and all wood lattice bracing, this is an extremely responsive guitar with excellent projection, the high volume also makes it particularly easy to play, as little effort is required from the right hand to achieve a beautiful and powerful sound.

With the NEW CENTURY model we have developed another modern guitar – designed for the individual requirements and needs of our guitar players.
Based on our HE-Doubletop model and on our experiences with domestic thermally modified wood. Double back made of thermally modified chequers tree/carbon for very full sound with good sustain and especially good projection in larger rooms.
Bridge made from thermally modified chequers tree for improved attack and a bigger dynamic. The soundboard is covered with an insensitive „natural“-sealing (varnish/wax) for very similar tonal qualities to shellac
The HANIKA ‘NATURAL’ finish is a special feature on this guitar. This very thin varnish / wax sealing makes the finish less sensitive to the stresses that typically occur when the instrument is played. The thin sealing helps produce a particularly open and transparent sound.
