The Esteve Alegría Cedar brings together the warmth and expressive character of a traditional Spanish classical guitar with the projection and responsiveness of a contemporary all-wood lattice-braced design.
Handcrafted in Spain, the Alegría offers the serious guitarist an impressive combination of warmth, projection, clarity and responsiveness, while remaining remarkably accessible for an instrument offering this level of construction and musical capability.
The Western Red Cedar soundboard gives this version of the Alegría an immediate and expressive personality. The response is quick beneath the fingers, with a full, rich voice that makes it easy to explore different colours and dynamics without having to push the instrument excessively.
Its all-wood lattice bracing provides the projection and focus associated with a modern concert design, while allowing the guitar to retain the warmth and natural musical character that make cedar so rewarding to play.
For the advancing guitarist, serious student or experienced player looking for a responsive Spanish-made instrument with warmth, depth and excellent projection, the Alegría Cedar represents outstanding value.
A wonderful meeting of traditional Spanish guitar making and contemporary sound production.

The Alegría takes the familiar qualities of the Spanish classical guitar and gives them a distinctly contemporary dimension.
At the heart of the instrument is its all-wood lattice bracing system, designed to allow the soundboard to respond efficiently while providing excellent projection, clarity and focus. Unlike more radical modern construction methods, the Alegría retains an entirely wooden bracing structure, helping preserve a natural and traditionally musical character.
In this cedar version, the design is paired with Western Red Cedar and East Indian rosewood, creating a voice that is warm, full and immediately responsive, with excellent depth and a broad expressive palette.
The cedar soundboard responds readily to a lighter touch, making the Alegría particularly rewarding for players who appreciate an instrument that gives back easily and allows subtle changes in articulation, colour and dynamics to come through naturally.
The result is a guitar capable of accompanying a developing player for many years, while offering the response and musical possibilities that a much more experienced guitarist can appreciate.
