Canadian Cedar & Indian Rosewood
A Beautiful New Spanish Guitar from Amalio Burguet
Direct from Valencia, Spain, the new Amalio Burguet Modelo AM brings together traditional Spanish guitar character, carefully selected tonewoods, and the refined craftsmanship developed by Amalio Burguet over a lifetime dedicated to the instrument.
Known for the lush, warm, expressive Spanish voice associated with Burguet guitars, the Modelo AM offers an inviting combination of tonal richness, clarity, projection, and musical responsiveness. Its Canadian cedar soundboard gives the instrument an immediate and naturally warm response, while the Indian rosewood body provides depth, sustain, and a broad tonal foundation.
Every Burguet guitar is entirely handmade in the family workshop in Catarroja, near Valencia, where the emphasis remains firmly on quality, careful workmanship, and the traditional values of Spanish guitar making. Amalio Burguet combines time-tested construction methods with carefully selected materials, high-quality adhesives, and modern finishing techniques to create instruments that offer an exceptional level of craftsmanship and musicality.
The workshop uses solid tonewoods that have been naturally seasoned for a minimum of seven years, allowing the woods to mature before becoming part of the instrument.
The result is a guitar with the character and warmth expected from a handmade Spanish instrument, while remaining accessible to musicians looking for a serious, dependable, and inspiring guitar.
A beautiful Spanish guitar and a must-try for anyone who appreciates the traditional Burguet sound.

Amalio Burguet — A Life Dedicated to the Spanish Guitar
Born in Catarroja, near Valencia, in 1951, Amalio Burguet developed his passion and skill for guitar making from an early age. His first guitar was built in 1966, beginning a lifelong journey that would eventually lead him from the world of workshop production toward the highly artisanal approach that became the foundation of his own instruments.
While working in different guitar workshops, Amalio gained extensive experience in construction and production, but his admiration for truly handmade instruments led him to pursue a deeper understanding of traditional guitar making. He continued his musical education and dedicated himself to studying the properties of wood, the treatment and seasoning of materials, and the many details involved in constructing a fine Spanish guitar.
In 1984, Amalio realized his ambition of establishing his own workshop in Catarroja. From this workshop, he began developing his own approach to guitar making, combining traditional Spanish craftsmanship with carefully considered innovations and a constant pursuit of improved quality.
For more than five decades, Amalio Burguet has devoted his life to the development of the Spanish guitar. His work reflects a philosophy centered on craftsmanship, musicality, carefully selected materials, and the continual search for a better instrument.
Today, the Burguet workshop remains a family-oriented Spanish guitar tradition rooted in Catarroja, Valencia — a place where generations of experience and a genuine passion for the instrument continue to shape each guitar.
